Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
The music librarian is responsible for maintaining the music library in Wallman Hall.
- Organize, file, and categorize music for the Fairmont State University Wind Ensemble, Falcon Marching Band, FSU Choir, and FSU Jazz Ensemble.
- Assist the Director of Bands with making photo copies of parts and distributing them to the students enrolled in Wind Ensemble (Spring semester) and/ or Marching Band (Fall semester) and help collect and re-file parts at the end of marching season and/ or each concert cycle for Wind Ensemble.
- May also be responsible for other departmental duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Organized, detail-conscious, and a self-starter.
- Comfort with using a database program for the electronic filing and organization of parts and scores as well as work with hard copies of sheet music.
- A musician in the Marching Band and/or Wind Ensemble is preferred but not required.
