Job description

The Cleveland Orchestra seeks individuals to fill various positions on the Front of House Event Team for concerts and events at Severance Music Center, starting in June and running through September, with the opportunity to become a member of our year-round Front of House Event Team. These front-facing roles deliver unparalleled experiences to The Cleveland Orchestra and Severance Music Center guests. This seasonal, part-time position averages 5-15 hours per week based on events scheduled, with an hourly rate of $11.00. This role is ideal for college students, educators, artists, retirees, and individuals seeking seasonal part-time work.
Event Staff include Ticket Takers, Floor Coordinators, Directors/Greeters, Elevator Operators, Coat Check Attendants, and Door Attendants. Event Staff are cross trained in all positions.
Responsibilities include:
  • Greeting and assisting guests throughout the venue
  • Answering questions about the building or performances
  • Creating a warm, professional, personal experience for every guest
  • Working well alongside fellow Event Staff and Volunteer
  • Learning Severance Music Center's procedures, operations, and emergency protocols
  • Remaining on duty through the conclusion of events
  • Assisting guests during egress and thanking them for visiting the concert hall
