Job Description

Job Summary: Associate Director provides oversite of a physician practice office(s).

  • Work with managers and physicians to provide information relative to the physician practice’s financial and operational performance, including monthly review of scorecards, compliance/safety issues, and financials.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new providers and managers.
  • Ensure overall compliance and safety practices for the clinic (internal MUSC, COLA, DHEC, OSHA, etc)
  • Provide pertinent reporting from Epic and MUSC data management systems to manage efficient business processes (collecting co-pays, referrals, overall key clinic metrics).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within sites and works towards resolution within designated time frames.
  • Transition policies and procedures with any operational changes or initiatives.
  • Lead new initiatives and implementation as directed by leadership as new programs arise.
  • Manage a team of managers and keep track of employees’ time, schedule and performance.  
  • Market and promote practices to surrounding communities through collaboration with marketing and participation with health fairs and community events.
  • Transition of practices to new medical office space with growth as needed.
  • Act as a liaison to the hospitals..
  • Provide lead support for patient engagement and service recovery as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Office Hours 8:00am-5:00PM M-F

Primary Location- Each market as needed

Job Duties: Supervision of management staff/Policy and Procedure implementation and management/evaluation and feedback/Financial oversite and responsibility of multiple locations and service lines. Process improvement in all operations/ help manage difficult provider situations/ Analyzing trends, key metrics and stats as assigned. Presenting to executive level and working within all aspects of the hospital and clinics. Cross collaboration with multiple departments within the division and system to optimize operational excellence, particularly OR and clinic interface.

Preferred Experience & Additional Skills: Practice Management, basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Power Point, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution, high level of emotional intelligence, multi-tasking ability, operations finances, must be a people person.

Ability to lift/lower objects 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted. Ability to lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force.  Examples include: To transfer a 100 lb. patient that cannot assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force are needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force are required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.  Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance.  Ability to match or discriminate between colors.  Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.  Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.  Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.  Ability to work rotating shifts.  Ability to work overtime as required.  Ability to work in a latex safe environment.  Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions.  * *Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function.  * *Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
