Job description

Position Summary

Mural is partnering with a global manufacturer of engineered components used in automotive and industrial applications, with a strong focus on precision, consistency, and performance. The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products meet strict customer and regulatory requirements in a high-volume production environment. This role is critical to maintaining customer trust, reducing defects, and driving operational excellence by leading quality systems, improving processes, and embedding accountability across the plant.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the quality team, including inspectors and quality engineers
  • Oversee all quality systems, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues and customer complaints
  • Establish and monitor quality KPIs, including defect rates, scrap, and customer returns
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent)
  • Lead internal and external audits and maintain audit readiness at all times
  • Partner with operations to implement process improvements and reduce variability
  • Review and approve inspection processes, testing procedures, and quality documentation
  • Manage nonconformance processes, including material disposition and corrective actions
  • Support new product introductions and process validation activities
  • Promote a culture of quality and accountability across the organization


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and quality data tracking
