Job Summary:
The Project Manager will lead municipal and industrial water and wastewater engineering projects from preliminary engineering through detailed design and construction support, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality to deliver integrated treatment systems that meet client and company standards. This is an on-site position based in Anaheim, CA, ideal for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in an engineering, utilities, or construction setting who is ready to own project delivery - from proposal development and design review to procurement, subcontractor management, and construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage municipal and industrial water and wastewater engineering projects through preliminary engineering, detailed engineering, and construction support by effectively utilizing resources to deliver engineering deliverables and integrated systems.
• Complete projects on time and on budget with quality that meets clients' needs and company standards.
• Prepare engineering proposals, including project schedules, cost estimates, and scope of work documents.
• Support the engineering and design development of company products, systems, and equipment specifications.
• Review design documents prepared by other engineers, subcontractors, and drafters to ensure they meet the project scope, client's needs, and our quality standards.
• Prepare and distribute project status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Solicit and obtain bids from subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders to subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Determine and select corrective action and workaround solutions whenever deviations from the project plan are identified.
• Obtain and review plans and specifications and determine their completeness and consistency.
• Follow and implement document control procedures.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary internal teams (process, mechanical, electrical, structural) and external stakeholders (clients, regulators, subcontractors) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track and negotiate change orders, and coordinate RFIs and submittals as needed.
• Some travel is required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• 6+ years of work experience working for an engineering, utilities, or construction industry.
• Knowledge of process and utility piping specifications and piping designer education and/or experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of structural design for concrete and steel tanks/structures is preferred.
• Proficient with the MS Office Suite of tools and AutoCAD.
• Experience with MS Project or similar project scheduling software preferred.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Results-oriented with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
