Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the project manager with pipeline projects and working closely with other business partners to plan, facilitate and complete projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide support with project schedules, budgets, scope of work, data entry and other project requirements

· Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.

· Prepares price change orders and project reports and documentation.

· Assist with reporting and tracking of projects

· Responsible for accurate maintenance of project records and timely updates to the Project Managers

· Partakes in project hand-off and take off meetings.

· Assists with proper closeout of project including transmittal of final documentation to client and the filing of electronic and hard copies of project materials

· Maybe required to travel to jobsites.

· Works with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

· The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, technical, or construction preferred.

· Demonstrates flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem solving.

· Strong attention to details

· Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and methods required

· Tactful and has professional demeanor, and ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors and others

· Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills

· Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills

· Ability to identify and meet customers’ expectations and requirements

· Must be a self-starter and a problem solver

· Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple projects

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORMENT

Physical Requirements: This position is primarily sedentary to light work in nature. The employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and

office equipment, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach. The employee may occasionally lift or move office materials such as files, binders, laptops, or boxes of supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment: Work is typically performed in a professional office environment, with occasional visits to field or construction sites as required. The noise level in the office is usually moderate. The employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction noise when visiting job sites. All work must be performed in compliance with Cal/OSHA safety and ergonomic standards, and employees are expected to use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering field areas.
