Summary

A well-established general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead public infrastructure projects across California. With a strong pipeline of K-12, DSA-regulated, and Public Works projects, this role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality goals are met.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with public works or DSA experience who can take ownership of projects and lead teams in active, regulated environments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout on K-12, DSA, and Public Works projects

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control

  • Coordinate all phases of construction to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery

  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, bid review, and contract administration

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

  • Track project budgets, cost reports, and financial performance

  • Maintain and update project schedules with input from field teams

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, DSA requirements, and QA/QC processes

  • Lead project meetings with owners, architects, consultants, and internal teams

  • Oversee project closeout including punch lists, turnover, and final documentation


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor

  • Strong understanding of California public contracting and DSA compliance

  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
