Class Location: TSTC New Braunfels
Fast Track Weld Program:
This course is designed with an emphasis on welding technology related to multiview computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, freehand sketching and layout techniques. Apply AWS A2.4 welding symbols (American Welding Society), and study welding documentation supported by fabricated products and assembly. Multiview lines, measurements, and many AWS welding standards will be presented and assessed weekly. Fasteners and welding assemblies are essential to this CAD documentation course. Welding programs can cover MIG Welding, TIG Welding, and/or Fabrication.
Weld Program-Lippert University
  • Receive $6,500 in training
  • 32 hours of CAD print reading
  • 32 hours of OSHA and equipment safety
  • 80 hours of MIG welding
  • AWS MIG 1.1 Certification
  • US Department of Labor Apprenticeship
  • Receive $2,500 in retention bonuses in the first 6 months

Candidates will be prescreened:
  • Excellent work history
  • Exemplary attendance record
  • Physical testing:
  • Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for long periods of time in one location
  • Repetitive bending, twisting & turning
  • Weld flash or smoke concerns?
  • Basic math and reading comprehension

The program will run over 19 consecutive weekdays at TSTC New Braunfels. You will be paid a regular hourly rate for each 8 hour training day. Working hours will only be at the college during training. Exams will be conducted weekly to determine your eligibility to remain in the program. Attendance is mandatory.
After completion of the class, you will work in the Shiner, TX Plant.
Lippert is excited to announce we will be relocating our Shiner, TX and Beeville, TX locations to Seguin, TX! This role will initially be based in Shiner, TX with a targeted relocation date of September 2026. Upon relocation, the shift and hours may change based on operating plans.
