Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Lead Technician  to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage crews, lead field operations, perform fiber fusion splicing, install network infrastructure, support CCTV, sound systems, access control systems, coordinate projects, and ensure jobs are completed safely, professionally, and on schedule.

This is not an entry-level position.
We are looking for someone who leads from the front—someone who takes ownership of the project, the crew, and the final result.
 

Position Responsibilities

Field Leadership

  • Lead and supervise crews of 5+ technicians
  • Assign daily work objectives and ensure production goals are met
  • Manage manpower planning, labor efficiency, and material usage
  • Maintain project quality, safety, and profitability standards
  • Coordinate directly with Project Managers, General Contractors, electricians, and other trades
  • Provide daily project updates and field reports to management
  • Handle customer communication and onsite issue resolution
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and helpers
  • Ensure jobsite cleanliness, organization, and professionalism

Installation Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, dress, label,  terminate, test and  troubleshooting :
    • Cat5e / Cat6 / Cat6A structured cabling
    • Fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode)
    • CCTV / surveillance systems
    • Access control systems
    • Door access systems
    • Intercom systems
    • Commercial sound systems / paging systems
    • SM, MM Fiber 
    • OTDR testing
    • cat5-6 verify and certify 
  • Install and support:
    • Security cameras
    • Access control panels
    • Card readers
    • Door strikes / mag locks
    • Intercom systems
    • Paging and background music systems
    • Audio distribution systems
    • Network equipment 
  • Install and build:
    • Network racks
    • Cabinets
    • Patch panels
    • MDF / IDF rooms

  • Follow and maintain:

Minimum Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of low-voltage installation experience

  • Ability to work overtime, nights, and under project deadlines when required
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
