Merchology seeks a Strategic Account Executive (SAE) for our Sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Account Executive is a critical role to position our company to be the favorite gifting partner of businesses everywhere. Following onboarding, an SAE will be assigned their book of business (20 to 30 accounts) and their established sales quota.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
A successful Strategic Account Executive will:
  • Have a proactive sales approach, embodying a 'hunter' mentality: Hunters in the sales industry have excellent persuasive skills and understand how to connect easily with potential clients. This person is the first point of contact for new clients, so it's essential for them to be personable and confident
  • Complete weekly engagements with new and repeat customers, including proactive outreaches via email, phone calls, web meetings, and in person meetings.
  • Meet or exceed monthly quota and achieve year over year growth of assigned accounts
  • Successfully sell online ecommerce value with proven B2B sales experience
  • Prescribe long-term solutions to achieve customer and client goals
  • Utilize market research and referrals to discover new prospects
  • Evaluate the potential for Master Service Agreements by researching customers' internal process and agreements that competitors may have with our customers
  • Maintain sales pipeline with accurate close dates, deal values, deal stages, and notes
  • Create and present quarterly account plans alongside assigned Project Manager
  • Manage sales pipeline in CRM and expand 2.5 times sales quota
  • Meet account performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Conduct seamless handoffs with Project Managers
  • Additional projects or duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (business, marketing, communications); experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 5 years of quota driven B2B sales experience
  • Business acumen: Ability to influence decision makers and build relationships
  • Computer skills and experience with a sales software
  • Multimedia skills to reach large groups, including phone, video and in-person presentations
  • Engaging and effective business writing ability
  • Strong relationship building skills
