Quick Service Technician

Young Automotive Group โ€“ Owosso, MI

What You'll Do

As a Quick Service Technician, you'll perform preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections while ensuring every vehicle leaves our shop safe, reliable, and serviced to the highest standards. Your work is critical to customer safety, dealership success, and building long-term customer trust.

Responsibilities
  • Perform engine oil and filter changes according to General Motors specifications.
  • Rotate and inspect tires, including tread depth, wear patterns, condition, and tire pressure.
  • Complete a thorough General Motors Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection (MPVI) on every vehicle.
  • Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, batteries, belts, hoses, filters, fluids, lighting, wiper blades, and other visible safety components.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos using Xtime Multimedia to clearly document vehicle conditions, maintenance recommendations, and repair needs.
  • Upload multimedia findings promptly into Xtime to provide customers with a transparent, easy-to-understand view of their vehicle's condition.
  • Ensure all multimedia accurately supports inspection findings and recommended services.
  • Document inspection results accurately using the dealership's digital inspection platform.
  • Communicate maintenance recommendations and safety concerns promptly to the Service Advisor.
  • Reset maintenance reminders and verify all services have been completed correctly before releasing the vehicle.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all General Motors service procedures, dealership processes, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
