Job description

Description:

Job Summary

Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill (BOCM) is hiring a Multimedia Content Creator to bring our brand to life through photo and video. This is a hands-on, in-the-action role for a creative who thrives in fast-paced, real-world environments—capturing live moments at our orchards, tasting rooms, retail locations, and events, and turning them into engaging, high-performing content. Working in close partnership with the Social Media Marketing Manager (who owns strategy, calendar, and community management), the Multimedia Content Producer is responsible for the photo and video production engine across the full Blake’s portfolio. If you’re someone who sees a moment and immediately thinks “that’s content,” this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture Across the Brand: Shoot photo and video across events, experiences, food, retail, tasting rooms, and seasonal activations at all Blake’s locations.
  • Multi-Format Production: Shoot fluently with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and mobile—both formats are required for the role.
  • Lead Short-Form Video: Create and edit high-performing Reels and TikTok content as a primary focus—on-trend, on-brand, and platform-native.
  • Web & Digital Assets: Capture and produce high-quality photography and video for website use, including homepage, landing pages, email campaigns, and promotional assets.
  • Real-Time Turnaround: Edit and finish content quickly—sometimes same-day—to capitalize on live moments and trending opportunities.
  • Partner with the Social Media Marketing Manager: Take social briefs and translate them into shot lists, captures, and finished assets that map back to the social calendar and strategy.
  • Trend Translation: Stay on top of social and visual trends and translate them into content that fits the Blake’s brand and audience.
  • Travel & Cover All Locations: Travel regularly to all Blake’s locations—Armada, Almont, Big Apple, and South Lyon—for content capture, events, and seasonal moments.
  • Be On-Site, In the Action: This is not a desk-only role. You’ll spend significant time on the orchards, in tasting rooms, in retail spaces, and at live events.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns that drive traffic, ticket sales, and brand awareness across all locations.
  • Build & Maintain the Content Library: Organize, tag, and archive captured content so assets are findable and reusable across paid media, web, email, and seasonal campaigns.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in content creation, photography, and videography for a brand, agency, or creator platform.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating BOTH photo AND video work (required for application review).
  • Proven ability to shoot with DSLR/mirrorless cameras (required).
  • Experience creating Reels and TikTok content that feels native and engaging on each platform.
  • Ability to produce polished, high-quality assets suitable for website and digital use.
  • Proficiency in editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, CapCut, or similar).
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, live environments—events, weekends, and seasonal peaks.
  • Equally comfortable behind the camera and in the edit—able to own a project from capture through final cut.
  • Understands what makes content perform, not just look good—you can read a feed and know what will land.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership without heavy direction; this is not an entry-level role.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to drive to each of our locations: Armada, Almont, Big Apple, and South Lyon.
  • Bonus: experience with influencer/UGC content, food & beverage brands, or experiential/hospitality marketing.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a high-energy, experience-driven brand with constant content opportunities.
  • Work across events, food, retail, and seasonal campaigns—no two days look the same.
  • Creative freedom to capture and create in real-time.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid schedule based out of Blake’s Armada, MI campus: 3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote. Additional on-site presence required for shoots, events, content capture, and key team collaboration days as the calendar requires.
  • Work environment is split between a climate-controlled office and outdoor settings across the orchard, retail, tasting room, and event venues. Normal outdoor weather and travel hazards apply.
  • Physical requirements: ability to carry, set up, and operate camera and lighting equipment (typically 20–30 lbs); stand and walk for extended periods during shoots and live events.
  • Weekend work is required during festival and fall season; standard five-day weeks apply during off-season months. When required, Monday–Friday schedule will shift to accommodate.
