Job description

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced BIM Designer in our Indianapolis South office (Headquarters). This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a degree in Drafting and Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Duties include working with civil, environmental, and electrical engineers on design activities, supporting 3D designs, preparing report figures, and performing project fieldwork and survey activities. We are growing and would like to gain teammates who are excited to enhance their engineering skillset with the assistance of a talented and innovative team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project engineers on design activities
  • Support Senior staff with 3D designs
  • Prepare engineering drawings for construction
  • Assist with quantity take-offs
  • Perform project fieldwork and survey activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

  • Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Revit
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Municipal project experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
