Job description

The Senior Capital Markets Analyst supports the Capital Markets Multifamily team in the execution of debt and/or equity transactions for institutional and private clients. This role is highly integrated into the transaction process and requires prior experience underwriting, structuring, and executing commercial real estate capital markets deals.
The Senior Analyst will take ownership of underwriting, lender outreach, financial modeling, deal positioning, and transaction coordination, working directly with Capital Markets Agents, lenders, sponsors, and third-party vendors. This individual is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, manage multiple transactions simultaneously, and contribute meaningfully to deal strategy and execution.
This role is ideal for an experienced capital markets professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and is looking to play a critical role within a top-producing multifamily capital markets platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead complex financial underwriting and modeling of multifamily and commercial real estate assets
  • Analyze operating statements, rent rolls, leases, and market data to support deal structuring and lender positioning
  • Coordinate and execute outreach to lenders for new and existing transactions
  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with capital providers and sponsors
  • Prepare and review executive summaries, offering materials, sponsor profiles, and debt/equity packages
  • Present financing opportunities to capital providers and actively negotiate term sheets
  • Prepare detailed quote matrices and financing comparisons for sponsors and agents
  • Advise Capital Markets Agents on financing structures, lender feedback, and market dynamics
  • Conduct property site visits and contribute to asset positioning discussions as needed
  • Work closely with Loan Processors throughout underwriting, application, due diligence, and closing to ensure smooth execution
  • Review and interpret real estate documentation including leases, loan documents, appraisals, and third-party reports to identify risks and issues
  • Proactively manage transaction pipelines, timelines, and client expectations
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date deal information within the company CRM and internal systems
  • Track multiple active transactions, meet critical deadlines, and report deal status regularly
  • Assist in mentoring junior analysts and supporting team efficiency as needed
  • Take on special projects related to market research, process improvement, or strategic initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3-6+ years of relevant capital markets or commercial real estate experience, with a strong preference for multifamily
  • Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills for investment real estate
  • Strong understanding of debt and equity capital markets, lender products, and transaction structures
  • Ability to interpret complex financial models and clearly communicate findings to agents, sponsors, and lenders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-facing demeanor
  • Proven ability to read and analyze real estate contracts, leases, and loan documentation
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong overall Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working within CRM systems
