Job description

Groundskeeper – KOA Campground (with maintenance support)

Full‑Time / Seasonal Outdoor Work About the Position

We're looking for a hardworking, outdoors‑loving Groundskeeper to help keep our KOA campground clean, safe, and beautiful. This role focuses primarily on maintaining all outdoor areas of the property, with occasional light maintenance support. Because you'll be working throughout the campground, friendly customer service when interacting with campers is an important part of the job.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain all outdoor areas including RV sites, tent sites, cabins, common areas, and recreation spaces.
  • Mow, trim, edge, weed, rake, and care for lawns and landscaped areas.
  • Plant, prune, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and garden beds.
  • Clean and reset campsites between guest stays, including fire rings and picnic tables.
  • Remove litter and debris from grounds, walking paths, and public areas.
  • Apply mulch, fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides as needed.
  • Operate grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
  • Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf cleanup, snow/ice removal, and storm debris cleanup.
  • Inspect and maintain outdoor features like fences, signage, dog pens and dog park, and playground.
  • Provide friendly, helpful customer service when interacting with campers.
  • Assist with simple maintenance tasks when needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate grounds equipment and hand tools.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Friendly, positive attitude when interacting with campers.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
