Job description

Link High Technologies Inc. is an established Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Florham Park, NJ supporting businesses throughout Northern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New York City.

We are seeking an experienced Systems / Project Engineer with strong MSP experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of technical issues from start to resolution.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems, collaborating with teammates, and working directly with clients to deliver reliable solutions.

Applicants must have recent MSP experience.

About Link High Technologies

We support a wide range of clients across the tri-state area including manufacturing and distribution companies that operate both modern cloud infrastructure and traditional on-premise environments.

Our engineers work across diverse environments including Microsoft 365, Azure infrastructure, Azure Virtual Desktop, on-premise servers and networking, and security and backup platforms.

We are a professional, customer-centric, and fast-moving team that values initiative, strong documentation, and collaboration.

Certification training materials and approved exams are fully covered by the company, and there are clear opportunities for advancement within the organization.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Our strongest engineers demonstrate:

• Extreme ownership of issues until full resolution
• A methodical troubleshooting approach
• Willingness to assist teammates when they are stuck
• Strong documentation practices in ITGlue
• Understanding of full client environments beyond assigned tickets
• Clear communication with both clients and internal teams
• A commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Engineers on our team do not wait for work to be assigned. They proactively review the queue, collaborate with teammates, and help drive problems to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform Office 365 migrations and administration
• Deploy and support Azure servers and Azure Virtual Desktop
• Support and expand on-premise server infrastructure
• Troubleshoot escalated issues from the remote support team
• Configure and maintain corporate firewalls such as SonicWall
• Support networking infrastructure including VLANs and connectivity
• Maintain accurate documentation within ITGlue
• Work with the support team, technical account managers, and project team
• Provide client-facing technical guidance and solutions
• Participate in both remote support and onsite project work

Client Locations & Travel

Our clients are located across Northern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New York City.

Most support is performed remotely. Engineers occasionally travel to client sites for project work or complex issues. NYC travel is only required as needed and typically occurs a few times a year.

Engineers report to our Florham Park office, with flexibility when a remote day is needed.

Required Experience

• 5+ years recent MSP / IT consulting experience (required)
• Microsoft Windows Server administration
• Active Directory / DNS
• Office 365 administration, troubleshooting, and migrations
• Azure infrastructure (Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop)
• Networking fundamentals including VLANs and connectivity
• Virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Corporate firewall management (SonicWall or similar)
• Backup technologies such as Datto or equivalent

Preferred Experience

• ConnectWise Manage / Ninja RMM
• ITGlue documentation
• Microsoft Intune Deployment and Administration
• SharePoint Migration/administration

Non-Technical Skills

• Client-facing communication and professionalism
• Ability to help develop project Statements of Work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to follow internal procedures and document work daily in our PSA
• Initiative to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution
• Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical clients

This Role Is Not a Good Fit If

• You prefer working only on tickets assigned to you
• You are uncomfortable interacting with clients
• You avoid documentation or updating ITGlue
• You prefer a slower internal IT environment
• You are not interested in learning full client environments

Benefits

• Medical and Dental – 100% paid by employer
• PTO policy that increases with tenure
• 401K with 3% company contribution
• Employer-paid life insurance
• Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability
• Microsoft and approved certification exams fully reimbursed
• IRS Mileage Reimbursements
