Job Description

Position Details: Job Title - Software Engineer Duration - 5-6 Months (with a possibility of an extension) Location - New York, NY PRIMARY JOB DUTIES Maintain MS Access Finance applications including tables, queries, macros and Visual Basic for Applications modules, developing enhancements as needed. Maintain MS Excel Finance applications including Visual Basic for Applications modules and pivot tables, developing enhancements as needed. Compile, Organize, and Reconcile Data between multiple systems using MS Excel and MS Access. Demonstrate Strong Attention to Detail to ensure accuracy of financial reports. Document and maintain clear procedures and flowcharts. Makes suggestions for problem solutions or software enhancements, which will typically be reviewed by a more senior developer. Provide accurate and timely status reports on work progress. Other duties will include; Production support and subsequent defect research, assistance in technical and/or system documentation may be needed to aid support teams. This role will receive directions from the team lead/mentor.

Qualifications

(MANAGER CAN SELECT ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS AS DESIRED): Experience developing stored procedures within MS Excel Visual Basic for Applications and MS Access Visual Basic for Applications as well as Access Macros. SQL Proficiency. Experience with Business Objects is an added plus. Experience developing stored procedures within a relational database is an added plus. Financial Control experience is an added plus. Ability to work with and organize large volumes of data.
