About Peoples Health International

Peoples Health International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving community and global health outcomes through education, outreach, and evidence‑based initiatives. We work to expand access to health resources, strengthen community resilience, and support underserved populations through collaborative, mission‑driven programs.

Role Overview

PHI is seeking a detailed‑oriented and motivated Grant Research Assistant to support our fundraising and program development efforts. This volunteer will play a key role in identifying grant opportunities, analyzing eligibility requirements, and assisting with proposal preparation.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in nonprofit development, public health, research, or grant writing. Training and guidance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct funding research to identify grants from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and philanthropic institutions

Review eligibility criteria and assess alignment with PHI’s mission and programs

Maintain a database of grant prospects, deadlines, and submission requirements

Assist with drafting, editing, and preparing grant proposal components

Support the development team in organizing supporting documents, budgets, and attachments

Participate in virtual check‑ins with PHI staff or volunteer teams
