MRI Physicists are responsible for optimizing and maintaining MRI scanner performance, developing and testing new imaging protocols, ensuring safety standards are met, and troubleshooting technical issues. They frequently collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and biomedical engineers to improve scan quality and address clinical needs. Additionally, many MRI Physicists contribute to research projects, quality assurance programs, and staff training.
