Job description

Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist
Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Days | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | 8-hour shifts
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures.
  • Conduct MRI safety screenings for patients and staff.
  • Ensure accurate image acquisition, processing, and storage in PACS.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions to management or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA) activities and MRI safety initiatives.
  • Assist with patient flow and support other imaging technologists as needed.
  • Adapt imaging techniques to meet individual patient needs.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.
  • Work at other campuses or shifts as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service while collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Louisiana State MRI/Radiologic Technologist License required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of PACS and MRI safety protocols.
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation.
  • Must be available to work every other weekend.
Preferences:
  • Hospital-based MRI experience.
  • Experience with PACS troubleshooting and quality assurance processes
