Job Description
Provide engineering support for the disposition of nonconforming electrical wire harness products during fabrication and installation activities. Work closely with production and operations teams to resolve technical issues, ensure compliance with design requirements, and support manufacturing objectives in an aircraft production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply design principles and MRB processes to disposition discrepant electrical wire harness products.
- Provide on-site engineering support to production and operations teams.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
- Support fabrication and installation activities for aircraft electrical systems.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing and installation-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
- Support production activities in a fast-paced operations environment.
- Work a 3x12 shift schedule (Friday through Sunday) as required.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person status.
- Engineering or technical degree from an accredited institution (ABET preferred).
- Ability to review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support production and operations teams in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electrical wire harness fabrication and installation.
- Knowledge of commercial or defense aircraft systems.
- Familiarity with aircraft wiring diagrams, electrical specifications, and design principles.
- Experience supporting Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Knowledge of VC-25 or 747 aircraft programs.
Education / Experience
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, but not required.
