Flex Security Officers (Unarmed or Armed)

MPS Security is actively seeking experienced and dependable professionals to join our team as Flex Officers. These positions are ideal for individuals with a strong background in security who can adapt to varying assignments and schedules. Opportunities are available for both armed and unarmed roles.

Flex Officers are assigned to cover all company accounts, stepping in to fill shifts during employee absences such as call-offs or approved time-off. They also provide additional security coverage as needed, based on client requests.

Flex Officers are expected to adhere to all active post orders at each assigned client site and must comply with all company policies, procedures, protocols, and specific client requirements. Flex Officers are required to complete and comply with all supervisory training provided by the company.

Flex Officers will also have first opportunity to move into full-time positions as they become available.

Schedule:
Flex Officers are scheduled as needed and must be available to work all shifts, including day, swing, and graveyard. Work hours are not guaranteed, and all assignments are subject to change at any time based on operational needs.

Pay rate: $18.00/hour (unarmed); $20.00/hour (armed).

Requirements:
All applicants must possess a valid Guard Card issued by BSIS. Please note: MPS Security does not provide Guard Card training.

Applicants will be required to submit copies of completed training certificates to verify compliance with BSIS annual refresher training standards. A government-issued photo ID is also required at the time of application.

All applicants are subject to a background check and employment verification, and a driving record check for all driving positions. Any omission of prior employment with MPS Security will result in the withdrawal of any offer of employment.

Certain Flex Officer assignments may require employees of MPS Security to successfully complete pre-employment medical fitness examinations to ensure they meet the physical standards necessary for the role. In addition, some assignments may require the successful completion of healthcare-specific de-escalation and safety/security training prior to placement. All offers of such assignments may also be contingent upon the successful completion a drug screening.

Additional Requirements for Armed Positions:

About MPS Security & ProtectionA Legacy of Excellence

National Business Investigations (NBI) was founded in 1967, establishing a solid foundation in the fields of private investigations and executive protection. In 2003, MPS Security was created as a specialized division of NBI, expanding its mission to include uniformed security services. Together, NBI and MPS Security bring over five decades of industry-leading experience to every client we serve.

Local, Family-Owned, and Community-Focused

MPS Security is a proud, third-generation family-owned company based in Murrieta, California, with a third generation now joining the team. Unlike large nationwide “big box” security firms, MPS Security is committed to a personal, transparent, and responsive approach.

We maintain a single office in Murrieta, staffed with experienced operations and management professionals who live in the same communities we protect. This proximity allows our team — including the CEO, President, and Security Manager — to respond to clients personally and be on-site within 30 minutes.

Honest, Reliable, and Transparent

At MPS Security, we believe in telling it to you straight. Many larger companies make promises during interviews that fall apart once you’re on the job: shifting posts every week, inconsistent scheduling, reduced hours, delayed payroll corrections, and layers of unreachable middle management.

MPS Security operates differently. We commit to clear, reliable communication about your pay, post assignments, and work schedule from day one.

Hands-On Leadership and Support

Our Field Supervisors routinely visit job sites to engage directly with officers and clients. This hands-on approach ensures that our officers are well-trained and our clients receive the quality service they expect and deserve.

Diverse Opportunities

MPS Security provides a wide range of post assignments throughout Southwest Riverside County. We serve commercial, industrial, residential, and healthcare properties with both armed and unarmed officers, offering positions for standing guards as well as vehicle patrol (including alarm response).

Join Our Team

MPS Security is looking for men and women who value commitment, work ethic, and a positive, long-term relationship with their employer.

If you are a former member of the military or law enforcement, we encourage you to apply and bring your skills and discipline to our professional team.
