Position Overview

Position Overview

The Contents Mover is responsible for working directly with the Contents Specialist to transport customer contents safely from the project site to the warehouse. This position primarily drives transport vehicles, packs, and loads contents, while Contents Specialists maintain primary responsibility for the intricate packing and cleaning of items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies.

  • Coordinate the use of automated and computerized systems for inventory and tracking.

  • Inventory and store customer belongings, ensuring their security using BELFOR processes.

  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via the appropriate computer program.

  • Assist in the counting of physical inventory and stack equipment, consumables, and storage crates on racks.

  • Mark materials with identifying information and sort them by size, type, style, color, or product code.

  • Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.

  • Perform facilities maintenance and follow all safety codes.

  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.

  • Report time worked and equipment used accurately to meet specific timelines.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.

  • Experience using mobile devices for electronic inventory entry.

  • Ability to quickly redirect staff as needed in emergency situations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information.

  • Ability to work under time constraints to meet specific project timelines.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to unload and load trucks manually or using warehouse equipment.

  • Capacity to stack heavy equipment and storage crates on warehouse racks.
