Job description

Part Time Chef to join natural wine bar. Great hours, great team, great pay. Hourly + TIPS!

Rude Mouth is seeking a dedicated and eager Prep Chef/Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be front facing and responsible for preparing and plating 5-6 small plates in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality standards and timely service.
 

This isn't a typical prep chef role.

Our wine bar is designed around one chef per shift. You'll be responsible for everything from prep and execution to plating and expo. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the bar and 'front-of-house' team, you'll play a central role in every service. This position offers a high level of responsibility, trust, and influence over the guest experience.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble menu items according to our specifications.
  • Assist in menu curation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
  • Assist in inventory management and food storage.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure smooth operations during service.
  • Assist in washing dishes
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
  • Food Handlers Certificate is a plus
