Motorcycle Racing Suspension Technician

Astemo, a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry has an immediate opening for a Suspension Technician in our Race Support Division located in Anaheim, CA.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

The successful candidate will provide technical support on SHOWA suspension. (motorcycle motocross racing & & production motorcycle test )

Specifically

Maintaining suspension quality (i.e. periodic maintenance).

Testing and race reporting, and disseminating data to Astemo management.

Suspension parts management for race service.

This individual will also be researching, testing and analyzing new suspension valving, component, & design specifications.

Safety management for performing work.

Suspension setup on race tracks and test tracks with customers.

This position will provide track support for races and provide testing per the team schedule, so must be willing to work a flexible schedule and travel.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience with suspension or chassis work, or dealership customer service support.
  • Must have advanced experience riding motorcycles, with experience preferable in motocross.
  • Ability to effectively present information to all levels within the company.
  • Willingness to work as a team with all partners, both internal and external to the company.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, which includes weekends, evenings and travel.
