Motor Coach Driver โ€“ CDL Class B Paid Scholarship Training Program

Do you want to become a professional Motor Coach Driver?

Are you ready to build a career in the transportation industry with a company that truly invests in your future?

Diversified Transportation, a division of Student Transportation of America, is partnering with Great Basin College (GBC) to offer an exclusive CDL Class B Paid Scholarship Training Program in Elko and Winnemucca, Nevada.

This program is designed for experienced drivers who do not currently hold a CDL but want to advance their careers. Participants will receive professional paid CDL training and, upon successful completion, will transition directly into full-time Motor Coach Driver roles with Diversified Transportation.

About the Program

The CDL Class B Paid Training Program runs for 3 weeks. Throughout this period, participants will undergo professional, hands-on training to obtain their CDL Class B license. Upon successfully completing the program, candidates will begin paid employment as Motor Coach Drivers with Diversified Transportation.

What We Offer:

  • Paid CDL Class B scholarship training at $20.00 per hour.
  • Guaranteed employment as a Motor Coach Driver upon successful completion, earning up to $30.50 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles on assigned routes maintaining established time schedules.
  • Provide information to passengers regarding transportation service.
  • Maintain schedules and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Respond to inquiries and ensure appropriate information is provided.
  • Assist passengers as required including in any emergency situations.
  • Provide information to supervisor regarding route problems or traffic changes.
  • Perform pre-operation safety inspections; request servicing and repairs as needed.
  • Maintain all required passenger and vehicle records.
  • Provide detailed reports of accidents or incidents to management.
  • Follow safety guidelines and practice safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older with a valid driverโ€™s license
  • No CDL required โ€“ this training is specifically for non-CDL applicants
  • Minimum 10 years of driving experience
  • Clean driving record - No history of DUI/impaired driving record or violations in the last 7 years
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol testing and a criminal background check
  • HS Diploma, GED or Degree is a plus
  • Pre-employment screenings apply
