About the Role
Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) - Brisbane, CA
As a Motion Designer at Odoo, you'll create engaging video and motion content across web, organic and paid social, events, and more to support brand awareness, product education, and lead generation. You must have strong animation, editing, and visual design skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into compelling visual stories.
You'll manage projects from concept to final delivery, create static and motion content, and collaborate with writers, salespeople, systems analysts, and other teams to deliver high-quality creative projects efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Develop video content across multiple channels, including on-site, organic and paid social, events, and more, to support marketing goals such as brand awareness, product education, and lead generation.
  • Manage your content project pipeline from start to finish, designing, tracking, and producing static and motion video deliverables, often in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Think critically about creative and implementation challenges, balancing strategy and execution while efficiently and collaboratively guiding non-technical contributors through the video production process.
  • Collaborate with content writers, salespeople, systems analysts, and other cross-functional stakeholders across a variety of projects.

Must Have
  • At least 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrable experience in video animation and editing, supported by a portfolio showcasing the quality and range of your work.
  • Proficiency in visual design, particularly across UX/UI, product, and marketing, including motion graphics and micro-interactions.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and synthesize creative ideas, processes, and outcomes, including determining when to use static assets, stock footage, b-roll, or animation, and balancing team feedback and revisions against project deadlines.
  • Expertise in digital media technology and editing software, including file formats, codecs, and color spaces, and proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator.
  • Experience independently leading projects, managing deadlines, and contributing to shared team goals.

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Film, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A startup mindset that combines self-motivation and grit with the courage to experiment, follow through on new ideas, and recognize when to push creative boundaries versus use proven approaches.
  • Knowledge of a 3D software package such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or Maxon.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry design standards and trends.
