Position Summary

Midwest Family Lending is seeking an experienced Mortgage Processor to join our team in Urbandale, Iowa. The Mortgage Processor is responsible for managing residential mortgage loan files from application through closing, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and meets company, investor, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to effectively manage multiple loan files while providing exceptional service to borrowers, loan originators, and business partners.

Primary Responsibilities

· Process residential mortgage loan files from application through closing.

· Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.

· Collect and verify borrower income, asset, credit, and property documentation.

· Order and track third-party services, including appraisals, title work, flood certifications, and verifications.

· Review underwriting conditions and coordinate with borrowers, loan originators, and third parties to obtain required documentation.

· Monitor loan pipelines to ensure files meet contract and closing deadlines.

· Review loan files for compliance with investor requirements and applicable federal and state mortgage regulations, identifying and resolving potential issues prior to closing.

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of residential mortgage processing experience required.

· Experience processing Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans preferred.

· Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.

· Strong understanding of residential mortgage documentation, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory compliance.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
