Job Description

Morgan Pavement is seeking a qualified and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This position will support our growing construction and paving operations across the state. You’ll be operating dump trucks and other construction-related vehicles, hauling materials to and from job sites.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class A CDL vehicles including dump trucks, belly dumps, side dumps, and other construction-related trucks.
  • Safely transport asphalt, dirt, aggregates, and other construction materials to designated locations.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies at all times.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, timecards, and delivery documentation.
  • Perform minor truck maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
  • Assist crews on job sites when necessary.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and company safety standards on and off the job site.


Requirements:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience (construction/dump truck experience preferred)
  • Clean driving record (MVR must meet company insurance requirements)
  • Ability to pass DOT drug test, physical exam, and background check in accordance with FMCSA regulations
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA safety and operating standards
  • Familiarity with Utah construction routes and local delivery protocols is a plus
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with paving operations, construction sites, and hauling heavy materials
  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (not required, but a plus)
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Side-Dump experience a plus
  • Asphalt Distributor experience a plus
