East Avenue Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools and personal interviews to formulate clinical diagnoses and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other integrative approaches designed to meet the distinct needs and goals of clients.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services for clients facing acute mental health issues, developing immediate action plans to ensure their safety and well-being during emergencies.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate client documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results, in compliance with ethical and legal standards to uphold client confidentiality.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic and coordinated care to clients.
  • Educate clients and their families regarding mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions related to their mental health.
  • Stay updated on advancements in mental health therapy through continuous education, workshops, and professional development opportunities, ensuring the use of best practices in clinical settings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client base encompassing various age groups, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges, promoting resilience and personal growth throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications
  • Active license as a Mental Health Therapist, with credentials such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
