Job description

Summary

6 month temporary assignment with US Legal team as a Paralegal working onsite 5 days a week (Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM EST) at 111 Sylvan Ave Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support to marketing teams on advertising, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Review and advise on consumer marketing and advertising assets as well as external communications including but not limited to promotions, social media posts, endorsements and influencer content, digital media, print ads, press releases, external presentations, white papers, and other assets.
  • Assist with assessing evidence for claim substantiation and preparing appropriate disclaimers and disclosures.
  • Review marketing-related contracts, drafting letters drafting letters; assist with preparing templates.
  • Draft and/or review sweepstakes and contest rules, promotional terms.
  • Support brand protection initiatives, intellectual property and litigation matters, and correspondence with external agencies and individuals.
  • Conduct legal research and information gathering as needed.
  • Stay updated with current laws and regulations to manage internal procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely and provide critical support to the US Legal Team and various other internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, approved legal and business negotiation parameters, legal risk management, and business practices.
  • Handle certain administrative tasks such as providing reports, drafting meeting notes, and managing correspondence.  
  • Work on special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate.
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong execution and project management skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders from across a global organization on cross-functional projects to reach consensus.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with computer databases/online support systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • In-house legal experience preferred.
  • Position located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
