Job description

FULL-TIME/PERMANENT
JOB FUNCTION: A Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Process Engineer generally assists in the production line of surface mount technologies, which involve attaching electronic materials to printed circuit boards. Finished products will be inspected by an engineer to assess their quality. The SMT Engineer will provide feedback or will sometimes make the fixes. It is also important to inspect various machines, tools, and materials involved in the process to make sure that they are working properly. It is also important to monitor the work of individuals to make sure that the work being done is of quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, M.S./M.B.A in Engineering or related is a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience. Experience in the electronic manufacturing is a plus.
LANGUAGE: English proficiency required, Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus.
SKILLS:
• Strong analytical skills

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process
• Strong analysis and attention to detail
• Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Knowledge of SMT manufacturing process
• IPC training - industry requirement
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement advanced processes and SMT methodologies
• Perform direct and failure analyses for Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
• Lead improvements in process yield, quality, cycle time, inventory access, and delivery
• Lead a team of SMT Machine Operators and Process Technicians
• Monitor manufacturing quality and actively draw up manufacturing plan
• Process and record data in order to improve the programming and increase efficiency
