Position Overview

The Facility Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our care team at the Pediatric Day Health Center (PDHC) in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This full-time position (36+ hours per week) offers a rewarding opportunity to use your nursing skills in a fun, family-focused pediatric environment.

As a Facility RN, you’ll provide high-quality care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services while supervising LPNs and other staff. If you’re passionate about pediatric care and looking for a role that’s both meaningful and fulfilling, we’d love to meet you!


What You’ll Do
  • Monitor and document each child’s status through ongoing observation and assessment.

  • Identify patient care priorities and ensure delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care.

  • Implement physician’s orders and communicate any changes in patient condition promptly.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all nursing care provided.

  • Support and mentor LPNs and ancillary staff, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

  • Partner with families and the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.


Qualifications
  • Active PA RN License (required).

  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification (can be obtained during orientation).

  • Additional compensation may be offered for experience with ventilators and tracheostomies.
