Key Responsibilities
  • Round on both inpatient and outpatient individuals receiving mechanical circulatory support (MCS) therapy
  • Service and troubleshoot durable MCS devices in both inpatient and clinic settings, functioning as a subject matter expert (SME)
  • Manage and monitor patients supported by devices including durable MCS (HM3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, and Impella
  • Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
  • Collaborate with the care team in managing advanced heart failure patients across care settings
Required Qualifications
  • Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license in hand
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with durable MCS devices (HM3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, and Impella
  • Strong cardiac background with comfort independently managing and troubleshooting mechanical support devices
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience managing advanced heart failure patients
  • Prior experience as a VAD Coordinator
  • Experience in a CTICU setting
