Job Title: Creo Design Engineer(Automotive Domain)

Location: Wauwatosa, WI, 53222 (100% On-site. No remote/hybrid)

 

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in PTC Creo and automotive component design. The candidate should have hands-on experience in surfacing, part modeling, assembly design, and concept model development, with knowledge of automotive design and manufacturing processes.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong Creo tool expertise:
    • Part Modeling
    • Assembly Design
    • Surfacing
    • GD&T
    • DFX / DFA concepts
  • Automotive design experience with component development
  • Experience designing:
    • Plastic components
    • Sheet metal components
    • Casting components

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Ability to independently handle design conceptualization activities
  • Hands-on experience creating concept models using Creo
  • Knowledge of automotive design and development processes, including:
    • Drafting
    • Dimensioning and tolerancing
    • Prototyping
    • ECN
    • PPAP
    • Design documentation
  • Understanding of:
    • Sheet metal press tools
    • Fixture and gauge design
    • Reverse engineering
    • Stack-up analysis
    • VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop automotive component designs using Creo
  • Create and modify part, assembly, and surfacing models
