We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly to join our manufacturing engineering team. In this role, you will develop, validate, and document assembly processes for large industrial gas engines at our Waukesha facility. You will apply strong technical expertise to analyze data, resolve complex issues, and continuously improve process performance. Your work will help ensure we deliver highquality products to our customers while maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing environment.

What you'll do:

  • Process & Workflow Optimization:
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and establish best practices across production.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; collaborating with equipment vendors; and gathering insights from operators.
  • Machining & CAD/CAM Development: Use CAD/CAM software to create, optimize, and improve machining processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure product and process quality by developing testing methods, assessing finishedproduct and process capabilities, establishing quality standards, and validating manufacturing processes.
  • Operations Planning & Cost Analysis: Support manufacturing decisionmaking by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; and estimating future operational requirements.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Prepare detailed product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing performance data and trends.
  • Equipment Reliability & Maintenance: Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer instructions and established procedures; and arranging specialty services as needed.
  • Professional Development: Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending workshops, reviewing industry publications, building professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Vendor & CrossFunctional Collaboration: Interface effectively with vendors and internal partners to ensure clear communication of technical requirements and EHS expectations.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge for assembly of heavy industrial equipment
    • Proficiency in CAD software.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
    • Understanding of GD&T tolerancing and function.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
