Job description

Healthcare is broken at the first step: patients can't find the right care, understand what it costs, or access the medications they need. Mochi Health is fixing this.
We're building an AI-driven marketplace that makes healthcare discoverable-connecting patients to the right providers, transparent pharmacy pricing, and affordable medications. Over the past few years, we've grown rapidly by combining clinical expertise with technology that actually works for real people, not just hospital systems.
Our platform does what legacy healthcare can't: it gives patients transparent pricing before they pay, personalized medication management that follows them across providers, and long-term access to their own medical records. We're proving that healthcare can be more affordable, more human, and far more intuitive than what exists today.
Join a team that's rebuilding healthcare from the patient up. At Mochi Health, you'll work alongside people who value bold thinking, inclusive collaboration, and getting meaningful work into the world. If you want to do the most impactful work of your career, this is where to do it.
Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000
About Mochi Health
Mochi Health is a direct-to-patient telehealth company specializing in obesity medicine and expanding into primary care. With over 200,000 active patients, 500+ providers across 50 states, and a proprietary AI-enabled EMR, Mochi is building the infrastructure for a new model of virtual care delivery.
Mochi's Operations team sits at the center of the company's highest-priority initiatives - from standing up new lines of business to protecting the patient and provider experience that drives retention. As Mochi scales, we need generalist operators who can move fluidly across projects, own ambiguous problems end-to-end, and use modern tools, including AI, to work faster and smarter than a traditional ops team.
About the Role
We are looking for a Manager of Operations to join our Ops team as a flexible, high-leverage operator. This is not a role scoped to a single function, you will rotate across the company's most important operational priorities as they emerge, starting with support on the buildout of Mochi's new insurance program and expanding into other initiatives like customer retention, new program launches, and process improvement.
You will work closely with Clinical Operations, Insurance, Pharmacy, Customer Service, Product, and Engineering, and report to the Head of Operations. This role is built for someone who wants breadth over narrow specialization, who is energized by picking up a new problem every few months, and who wants to build their own tools and automations rather than wait for someone else to build them.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Project Support
  • Serve as a flexible operator across Ops priorities, initially supporting the implementation of Mochi's new insurance program (workflow design, documentation, credentialing coordination, and rollout support alongside the Insurance & Payer Operations team).
  • Transition fluidly onto new priority projects as they arise without needing a long ramp-up period.
  • Own individual workstreams end-to-end: define scope, build the plan, execute, and report on outcomes with minimal oversight.

Metrics & Reporting
  • Define and track key operational metrics for each project you support (e.g., conversion, retention, cycle time, error/denial rates, program adoption), and build reporting that gives leadership real-time visibility.
  • Build dashboards and recurring reporting cadences that make it easy for stakeholders to see program health at a glance.
  • Use data to identify where a process is breaking down and propose fixes before they become escalations.

Process Design & Improvement
  • Map existing operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and redesign processes to reduce manual work and improve consistency.
  • Write and maintain SOPs for new and existing processes as programs move from pilot to steady-state.
  • Partner with functional leads (Clinical Ops, Insurance, Pharmacy, Customer Service) to implement process changes without disrupting day-to-day operations.

AI & Automation
  • Identify repetitive or manual ops workflows that can be automated using AI tools, scripts, or no-code/low-code platforms.
  • Build and iterate on lightweight internal tools that streamline your own work and the work of the broader Ops team.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years in operations, program management, or a generalist business role, ideally with exposure to fast-scaling or early-stage environments.
  • Track record of owning ambiguous projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable building metrics frameworks and dashboards, and using data to drive decisions.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., building prompts, workflows, or lightweight automations) to improve personal or team productivity; scripting or no-code tooling experience is a plus.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; experience working with Engineering, Product, Clinical, and Customer-facing teams.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, switching context across projects, and building structure where none exists.
  • Healthcare or telehealth experience is a plus but not required.
  • MBA or graduate training is a plus but not required.

Why This Role
  • Get exposure to nearly every part of the business - insurance, clinical operations, customer retention, and new program launches - in a single role.
  • Build real tools and automations that change how the Ops team works, not just execute someone else's playbook.
  • Join a lean, high-ownership team where your work has immediate strategic impact and direct visibility to company leadership.
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.
