The organization is comprised of a hospital, emergency department, and medical offices with centers of excellence in specialty care.
Job duties include performing core functions of the credentialing lifecycle including initial appointments and reappointments, data collection, primary source verification, privileging, and file maintenance.
The role engages in all assigned credentialing functions for medical and allied health staff, which may include appointment, reappointment, privileging, and focused professional practice evaluations/proctoring.
It is essential to ensure credentials files are error-free, accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.
Support for providers in the onboarding process includes computer access, necessary training, orientation, and badging.
The position requires maintaining current knowledge of medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and policies related to medical staff and regulatory agency requirements.
Assisting in maintaining the medical staff database is also part of the job.
Strict confidentiality must be maintained in all matters pertaining to the medical staff.
Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.
