SunSource Mobile Technology Services is one of North America's leading providers of mobile fluid power, hydraulic, and motion control solutions. We partner with OEMs and industrial customers to deliver engineered hydraulic systems, value-added assemblies, inventory management programs, repair services, and technical expertise that keep equipment operating at peak performance.

We're looking for an experienced OEM Account Manager - Mobile Fluid Power to manage existing Key OEM customers in Iowa. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional with direct experience selling mobile hydraulic components, fluid power systems, and engineered solutions to OEM manufacturers. If you enjoy solving complex customer challenges, building long-term partnerships, and growing a high-potential territory, we'd like to hear from you.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan to grow existing OEM accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new customers through networking, referrals, cold calling, customer visits, and technical sales presentations.
  • Utilize your mobile fluid power and hydraulic application expertise to recommend engineered solutions that improve customer performance, productivity, and reliability.
  • Build trusted relationships with OEM engineering, operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to become their preferred fluid power partner.
  • Collaborate with experienced customer service, engineering, and technical support teams to deliver outstanding customer solutions and exceed sales objectives.
  • Effectively manage your territory using CRM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other sales tools to prioritize opportunities, track activity, and forecast business.
  • Stay current on mobile hydraulic technologies, products, and market trends to identify new opportunities and provide value-added recommendations.
Experience, Education, & Skills
  • Two- or four-year technical degree preferred, with emphasis in Engineering, Fluid Power, Hydraulics, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience selling mobile fluid power or hydraulic components, systems, or solutions to OEM manufacturers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mobile hydraulic systems, including products such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hose & fittings, filtration, manifolds, or related fluid power components.
  • Experience providing product application support, troubleshooting, and engineered hydraulic solutions.
  • Value-added industrial distribution or engineered solutions sales experience preferred.
  • Fluid Power Certification is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop lasting customer relationships and consistently grow sales.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed within the assigned territory.
