Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose Heavy Duty trucks and other equipment.
  • Repair and/or replace any defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Test equipment once repaired to ensure operation is complete.
  • Travel to various remote sites to accomplish field repairs and/or Preventative Maintenance on internal and external trucks.
  • Document steps taken throughout the repair process on work orders and list supplies used for the repairs.
  • Occasional welding on equipment as needed.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Heavy Duty truck applications
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy duty equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Must have own tools
  • Valid driver license
  • Ability to use multiple scanning tools for diagnostics.
  • Ability to use and interpret technical manuals.
  • Ability to work alone.
  • CDL (Class B Commercial Driver license)

Preferred:

  • Completion of a technical certification program for mobile heavy equipment repair
  • Mobile mechanic experience
  • Supervisory experience
