Position: Sr. Mobile Engineer

Location: Plano, TX/Richmond, VA/McLean, VA/Chicago, IL

Duration: Long term contract

iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit

Android: Kotlin, Android SDK

Integration: REST APIs / Backend Services

Tools: Xcode / Android Studio / Git / CI/CD

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Mobile Engineers with strong hands-on experience developing native mobile applications using iOS/Swift and/or Android/Kotlin. The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop native mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
  • Develop high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code using Swift and/or Kotlin.
  • Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, backend services, and third-party systems.
  • Implement responsive UI/UX, application navigation, and mobile-specific features.
  • Work with databases, authentication, notifications, analytics, and cloud services.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve application stability.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile development processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers, and backend teams.
  • Support application releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in mobile application development.
  • Strong experience with iOS development using Swift and/or Android development using Kotlin.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and automated testing.
  • Experience with mobile security, authentication, data storage, and application performance.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

  • iOS: SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, Xcode.
  • Android: Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Android Studio.
  • Experience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP mobile/backend services.
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth, location services, camera, biometrics, and other device capabilities.
  • Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks.
  • Exposure to cross-platform technologies such as Flutter or React Native.
