Carolina Industrial Products is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to join our growing service team in the Charlotte area.

This is a mobile, customer-facing role responsible for servicing industrial battery systems and related warehouse equipment at customer locations throughout the region. If you enjoy working independently, solving problems, and staying active instead of sitting behind a desk, this could be a great fit.

We are willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude and a great attitude.

What You'll Do
  • Perform preventative maintenance on industrial battery systems and charging equipment

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues

  • Install and replace industrial batteries and related components

  • Conduct battery watering, cleaning, and inspections

  • Respond to customer service calls in a professional and timely manner

  • Complete service documentation and communicate clearly with customers and team members

  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work area

  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines

What We're Looking For
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

  • Basic electrical knowledge preferred

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

  • Ability to work independently in the field

  • Good customer service and communication skills

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work

  • Experience in any of the following is a plus:

    • Industrial maintenance

    • Forklift repair

    • Automotive or diesel mechanics

    • Electrical troubleshooting
