POSITION SUMMARY
Graymont's Indian Creek Plant in Townsend, Montana is seeking a Quarry Helper / Lab Technician person. Successful candidates must possess a strong safety attitude, strong sense of teamwork and cooperation, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a self-directed work environment. This is a 24/7 operation and applicant could work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends but is expected to be mostly day shift weekdays. This position is expected to be a backup to several positions that normally work day shift, (crusher, rail, lab) will assist in blasting activities and assist in the lab.
Responsibilities:
• Perform all needed preshift examinations on all plant and mobile equipment.
• Assist with blast activities
• Assist in lab testing
• Backup Lab Technician
• Backup Crusher Operator
• Backup Rail Operator
• Potential backup Shuttle Operator
• Potential backup Driller
• Daily clean up and housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Safety oriented in every aspect of the job.
• Team player, proactive with strong multi-tasking skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with good trouble shooting skills
• Self-starter with ambition to improve overall plant atmosphere
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
