Job description

About the Role

The Oraganizations is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst Lead to support the organization’s strategic upgrade from Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) to UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM).

This is a high-impact role that will lead the consolidation of five WFC instances into a single UKG Pro WFM platform, oversee system integrations with PeopleSoft HRMS and other legacy systems, and ensure a seamless transition across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Project Leadership

  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate functional requirements for the UKG Pro WFM upgrade.

  • Coordinate closely with the Program Manager, system integrator, and PMO to align project goals, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Lead a team of Kronos analysts through design, configuration, testing, and implementation phases.

  • Drive stakeholder communication and ensure alignment across departments.

Business Analysis & System Design

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.

  • Define and validate pay rules, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), payroll processing logic, and pay rate maintenance in PeopleSoft.

  • Develop process maps, data flow diagrams, and documentation for future-state design.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and manage test scripts using designated testing tools to ensure comprehensive business scenario coverage.

  • Lead testing efforts, validate results, and oversee issue resolution during UAT and parallel runs.

  • Ensure system accuracy, integrity, and readiness for production deployment.

Integration & Configuration Oversight

  • Support configuration of Kronos Workforce Timekeeper and related modules (Activities, Mobile, Analytics).

  • Oversee integration between UKG Pro WFM, PeopleSoft HRMS, and legacy systems using Kronos Boomi middleware.

  • Ensure accurate data extraction, cleansing, and transformation from WFC to UKG Pro WFM.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst Lead or Functional Lead with Kronos Workforce Central and/or UKG Pro WFM.

  • Proven experience implementing or upgrading enterprise WFM systems.

  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft HRMS and its integration with timekeeping/payroll systems.

  • Familiarity with Kronos Boomi middleware or similar integration tools.

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing test scripts for complex systems.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Kronos Activities, Mobile, or Analytics modules.

  • Exposure to full project lifecycle delivery (requirements → design → build → testing → go-live).

  • Client-facing experience within large or unionized organizations.
