Schedule: Full-Time | Entry-Level
Southern Cancer Center is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Daphne team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional cancer care.
Scope of Role
The MLT is responsible for performing moderate and high complexity laboratory tests, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring quality control. This role supports specimen collection, patient flow, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
✅ Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens as ordered
  • Conduct specimen analysis in Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Prepare reagents and chemical solutions
  • Process and chart lab results accurately and promptly
  • Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance procedures
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance
  • Maintain inventory and ensure viability of lab supplies
  • Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, and other regulatory standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions

  • Associate's degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science
