Job description

The Financial Analyst will support management of the MLS player budget and work closely with the Player Relations Department on all financial matters related to player transactions.


  • Act as a liaison between Finance and Player Relations.
  • Support preparation of the player budget.
  • Review of all player expenses as it relates to the Club Salary Budgets.
  • Review of all player revenues as it relates to outgoing transfers and loans.
  • Support Accounting during monthly close and settlement process, including review of player related items.
  • Manage trackers and projections for programs and initiatives.
  • Work with Player Relations Department during year-end review of player compensation.
  • Support preparation of the player projection for the cash flow statement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support Vice President on projects and ad hoc analysis and reporting.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience.

  • Strong financial and accounting skills.
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze from a macro level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
