Job description

Technical Writer – Oil & Gas
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials that support safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Candidates with experience in upstream oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, power generation, chemical manufacturing, mining, industrial manufacturing, utilities, or other process-based industries are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, procedures, work instructions, job aids, and training materials.
Research, analyze, and interpret existing documentation to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly content.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), operations personnel, and engineering teams to capture technical knowledge and support training initiatives.
Assist in developing training objectives, learning content, and assessments to support workforce competency and knowledge transfer.
Ensure documentation aligns with operational requirements, industry standards, and safety best practices.
Qualifications:
Experience supporting industrial operations, equipment, and systems in oil & gas or related industries.
Experience developing technical documentation, procedures, work instructions, and/or training materials.
Familiarity with upstream production, LNG, gathering systems, refining, petrochemical, power generation, manufacturing, or similar operational environments.
Basic understanding of instructional design principles, including learning objectives, content development, and assessments.
Strong research, analytical, and technical communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
Ability to travel to operational sites as needed.
