Experience Coal Surface Miner - Somerset, Colorado

JENNMAR Services is hiring experienced Surface Coal Miners / Heavy Equipment Operators for a mining operation in Somerset, Colorado. Great opportunity for operators looking for steady work, strong pay, and long-term potential.

Basic Job Duties for Surface Miners:

  • Operating heavy equipment including: dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, rollers, compactors, cranes, artic/rock trucks etc.
  • Operating heavy equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner.
  • Work in areas of uneven terrain.
  • Other laborer duties as required.

Job Requirements Surface Miners:

  • At least 1 year of dedicated heavy equipment operation experience.
  • MSHA Certification (Preferred) (We can train if necessary).
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability / willingness to work any shift assigned (days, swings and graves (Required)
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen, and background check, MVR .

Physical Requirements for the Surface Miners

  • Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts, both days or nights
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to kneel, bend and stoop down for prolonged periods of time.

ยท ยท Ability to work free of any medications, OTC drugs, or other supplements that impede concentrations, focus, judgment, observation, or otherwise perform all work tasks safely.

Safety:

All duties and responsibilities must be conducted in a safe, clean and productive manner. It is a requirement to comply with all Health and Safety requirements established by JENNMAR Services.
