As an After School Wellness Aide/Coach, you will play a vital role in bringing this vision to life. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team. The ideal candidates will be passionate about promoting wellness, creativity, and personal growth in children. You will be responsible for leading wellness movement and art-based activities for students in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Wellness Activities: Follow lesson plans to lead and create wellness activities such as yoga, mindfulness exercises, and guided relaxation to promote physical and emotional well-being among students.

  • Art-Based Activities: Organize and facilitate art-based activities that encourage creativity and self-expression.

  • Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during program hours.

  • Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students are encouraged to participate and engage actively.

  • Skill Development: Assist students in developing physical, emotional, and creative skills through a variety of activities.

  • Behavior Management: Implement appropriate behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and harmonious learning environment.

  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with parents, school staff, and program coordinators. Provide constructive feedback for students.

  • Record Keeping: Keep records of attendance, activity plans, progress reports and any incidents as required.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety, legal and licensing regulations.

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.

  • Ability to pass a background check and meet all clearance requirements.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

  • Knowledge of yoga, mindfulness, or art-based practices is a plus.
