Job description

The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation and execution of engineering projects across all services offered by Holtec International. The Project Engineer serves as the primary engineering interface with external parties, develops various technical products within their area of expertise, and assists with coordination of project deliverables to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet required quality standards. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, organizational proficiency, and effective communication skills.
Location: Camden, NJ
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ability to travel between company, vendor, and client sites as required in U.S. and abroad.
  • Ability to obtain nuclear power plant access as required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of applied mechanics and heat transfer principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related engineering discipline, or graduate of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
  • Experience with engineering software tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, and SolidWorks
  • Previous nuclear power plant experience
  • E.I.T. certification
