This position will be responsible for driving the territories business strategy to accelerate growth in the Component business segment (industrial control and sensors/safety planning segments). The Components Specialist will be the technical liaison between CBT Company amp;Rockwell Automation, provide marketing and commercial leadership for sales growth, be responsible to supporting the commercial plan for these businesses and take a lead role in developing a competency plan to ensure that support functions (inside/outside sales) are adequately prepared to grow component market share. Additionally, the expectation of the Component Specialist will be to coordinate amp; expedite resolutions of key technical issues for the CBT sales team and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides ongoing support to sales engineers and customers to develop new business.
  • Provide functional leadership of the Industrial Control, Sensors and Safety businesses in the territory by leading a consultative sales process with key customers.
  • Assist CBT Management amp; Marketing in assessing top market opportunities to drive successful sales/marketing strategies.
  • Provide application expertise to drive the territory strategy for the integration of component products to the integrated architecture product group. Basics knowledge of Networking, PLC’s, amp; HMI’s a plus
  • Prepares proof of concept demos, local product launches, seminars and marketing activities.
  • Coordinates and expedites resolution of key technical issues in assigned geography
  • Participate in pre-sales applications and problem solving with regards to spec reviews, take-offs, and product selection
  • Responsible for conducting customer demonstrations involving simulations, proof-of-concept and seminar assistance.
  • Responsible for keeping the sales team and management informed of any customer or product resolution issues by use of CRM
  • Provides ongoing support to sales account manager to grow existing customer base.
  • Provides emergency and crisis management assistance.

Requirements:

· Associates Degree Required in applicable Technical Field, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

· Two to Four years of experience in applicable field, a strong technical background is required to manage technical products and handle competing interests

· Excellent problem solving skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Proficient in all common Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)

Working Environment:

· Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
